Getting to know you 15.07.2017:Why Blog?

We all blog for different reasons. What made you take the step to start blogging? Why do you blog?

My answer: Everyone kept telling me I should write a book about my life’s adventures. I thought to myself, why do that when I can share them in real time? Plus, I always google reviews on products I’m about to purchase, which is frustrating because so many are top 12 lists or really don’t say anything about the users actual experience. So, I thought it time-worthy to share my experiences in hopes of helping another frustrated consumer like myself.

I write much about those things which I have interest.

  1. I’ve been blogging for a long time and I started out of curiosity and then out of a desire to express myself and to make it a hobby. The connections I’ve made have made my life better and I’ve learned more about the world around me.

  2. What started as a one of write up for an office magazine spilled over to a hobby that I have been pursuing for over 8 years now. Thanks to few of my colleagues who encouraged me to go for it.

  3. For me it was to share my passion for food, recipes, explore photography, food styling and learn more about blogging world and technology. It’s been almost 4 years and I am still learning and exploring. It will be a life long journey. I am also qualifying as a chef, will be finished at the end of this year. YAY! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  4. Blogging is something I had wanted to do for a long time and once I started I really enjoyed it. I do it to share my experiences with living a healthy lifestyle. It’s also just fun to see what we were doing a couple of months ago so it’s also a way to chronicle our life πŸ™‚

  5. Great question! Well, I started a page on photography (focusing on social issues in Sofia) when I was a student, after that I began cobtributing to travel websites, and finally my husband and I decided to freelance full-time (while looking after our little one). Everyone was saying that I need a blog, something that made me very exciting back then. Unfortunately, now I see that there’s no enough time for blogging… and my page is a mess πŸ™‚

  6. Blogging is a great way to journal all the great places I’ve been to, all the (what I think are) interesting things I’ve done. More importantly, I’ve always been rubbish at writing, so its good practice to hone my skills. Still working hard on it.

  7. Great reason! My first blog was a poetry blog; because I live in a small town with few local poets, it was a way to connect with a larger community of writers. Then we went on an adventure–hitching a ride on a sailboat from Vanuatu to Australia–and a blog was the best way to share our travels. My current blog all began with the question, “Can we make that from scratch?” After years of feeding people good food and having them ask when I was going to start selling what I made, I decided I’d have more fun sharing my knowledge and teaching them how to make such treats themselves. So Twice as Tasty was born!
