Getting to know you 15.09.2017: A million in money

If you inherited or won 1 million (in whatever your country’s currency is), what would you do with it?

My answer: Pay off and fix-up my place! Upgrade to a newer auto, take a small holiday, invest a bit for the kids in the family – then save the rest in an interest bearing account (if there is any).

  1. Seriously there is just so much that I can use that money for. 😀 But I guess I’ll pay my tithe first, save some, send something to my parents & meet the most urgent family need. Thinking again I’d like to invest in my career goals.

I know, right? That’s very thoughtful of you, to think of others first!

I’d pay off my bills and buy a modest home. I’d put a chunk aside for my only daughter towards a house in her future and invest whatever was left. A million dollars doesn’t go very far these days.

Very true. I like the game plan though 😀

  3. After paying taxes, promptly go into research on adding a floor to our home as well as paying that off and the rest to go into retirement savings.

I would give 10% to my church, buy my sister a new car, pay off a loan, and save the rest for retirement.

That sounds like a solid plan! It would feel good to be set, wouldn’t it?
