Getting to know you 15.01.2018: Forgiveness or Permission?

Is it better to beg forgiveness or ask permission?

My answer: Permission. Although, I have had my moments of just doing what I wanted and asking forgiveness later.

What about you?

  3. depends on the situation I think. Sometimes it is easier to just do something and then deal with any consequences after the fact

Agreed. Sometimes one does not have the opportunity to ask permission beforehand either.

Asking permission all the time before you do something means you don’t have full control over your own life. I think it’s better not to worry about what other people think all the time, and just do what you think is the best thing to do. If people have a problem with that worry about it later.

Thought-provoking question. I’ve always lived by seeking permission rather than forgiveness later. The older I get, though, I think perhaps I’ve lived on the safe side too much.
