A Question For My Readers – Your Feedback Is Appreciated!
As you have probably seen, I decided to include some affiliate marketing here. I, of course, wanted to sign on with the companies and products that I myself admire. Sustainable fashion/home, luxury items, contemporary furniture, travel and software. Through this process, I have also tried to only offer those things which may be of interest to you, my readers. Â I am aware, of course, that most any kind of advertisement goes unnoticed, or worse, makes people adverse to visiting ‘your’ site. But this also includes my being able to offer specialized promo codes. (Which is always nice to be able to share a special discount. I love special discounts!)
You are a very diverse group of people, and so I feel that instead of trying to guess about it, I should really just ask YOU. That’s what we do here…no?
Please, take the time to answer so I can stop being strange about this.
What would you prefer to see OR prefer to NOT see? (as per accessibility/promo codes):
- Travel (airfare, sight seeing, hotel…)
- Sustainable Goods
- Luxury Goods
- Luxury Resale (consignment)
- Software
- Gifts
- Handcrafted goods
- Beauty
- Home goods
- Helpful services
- Any combination of these which interests you (please state which)
This way, I am able to focus on only those things and I can remove myself from the remaining programmes to save everyone some time and frustration.
I would also like to ask you; How important are duties and shipping to you?
Please let me know and I will adjust accordingly.
Thank you for reading (& hopefully answering) this!

I don’t have a strong opinion, but gifts and handcrafts are probably the most appealing.

I personally don’t use blogs to shop on. In the 8 or so years I have been blogging I have not bought anything from a blog. To each his own of course. There are blogs out there that do sell things and services. Actually I did participate in a close friend’s service, but it didn’t last long. It’s hard work to build a well-selling blog. Good luck.

You are correct. At this point, I am just trying to offer accessibility to hard to find or hard to discount items/services. I think that the majority of people do not buy from blogs. Thank you so much for your comment! 🙂

Handcrafted, beauty, and home goods are what I usually buy online. Shipping charges are definitely a factor. Recently I wanted to buy an $18 item online, but shipping charge to the US on that item was $33. I decided not to buy it.

Thank you for sharing about this. Really! This helps me so much in this matter. I understand how shipping can be a deal-breaker. I think that customs duties can be quite hard for sales as well. Especially if its a pricey item. There are companies out there that offer reasonable shipping. This is something I also look at very closely 🙂

I don’t buy much online to be honest, and certainly not luxury goods as its all about the total shopping experience. I’d say travel would be most useful for me

Thank you Pauline 😀 You are correct that luxury purchases have a whole day of pampering vibe that goes along with it and nobody wants to miss that! Travel I can do, so travel it is! Thank you so much for helping me 🙂

Beauty, travel, home and luxury goods are all things I like to see. However, I prefer companies that sell and ship without large taxes and shipping fees. These are real deal breakers for me!
