Last week, I received a parcel of delicious spices with the challenge set for me that I get creative and make some good recipes with each spice. I was very keen to try the Turmeric. Turmeric is a super spice with many healthy benefits! Also, turmeric can be a bit tricky. Some are very strong, some are quite soft. This Turmeric is more on the soft side. Not overpowering at all. Soft, but strong enough that you don’t need to use a crazy amount. I worked it out to 3/4 tsp for this recipe. If you like it stronger, I would suggest using 1 tsp.
Turmeric’s health benefits are numerous. So many, that there are entire websites devoted to the spice. Some of the said benefits are that Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, that it will help with the flu, it’s even said to help with Arthritis, epilepsy and depression! With that kind of potent medicine, is it any question that this spice has been popular for so long?
