Hi guys, I’m down here! Keep scrolling, you’ll find my site under all the ads. Keep scrolling…..
Wow. So….ads! As you know, I was trying to format my blog and I did something really strange. In the process of trying to repair the damage I had done, my site went a bit funky for about a week there. There were word ads everywhere! I have finally managed to learn how to control how these show all over the place and have them removed. If you are like I am, you hate visiting sites that are plastered with ads! I hope that I have solved the problem, and I truly apologize for any frustration or annoyance that this may have caused for you. Thank you so much for your understanding.
For anyone struggling with this, contact WP support. They’ve been very helpful!
As you have probably seen, I decided to include some affiliate marketing here. I, of course, wanted to sign on with the companies and products that I myself admire. Sustainable fashion/home, luxury items, contemporary furniture, travel and software. Through this process, I have also tried to only offer those things which may be of interest to you, my readers. I am aware, of course, that most any kind of advertisement goes unnoticed, or worse, makes people adverse to visiting ‘your’ site. But this also includes my being able to offer specialized promo codes. (Which is always nice to be able to share a special discount. I love special discounts!)
You are a very diverse group of people, and so I feel that instead of trying to guess about it, I should really just ask YOU. That’s what we do here…no?
Please, take the time to answer so I can stop being strange about this.
What would you prefer to see OR prefer to NOT see? (as per accessibility/promo codes):
Yours truly decided that she was going to give this blog a complete make-over. In the process, I seem to have installed some items which did not work well with my format and seems to have scrambled … or just deleted…. many things on this website.
Basically, I got a bit over-motivated and broke my site. 🙁
I am working with wordpress to correct these ‘issues’ as quickly as just is possible. Please be understanding. We will find a way to get things back to normal soon!
This post (formerly just accidentally published & emailed to all of you…sori about that!) is about a new blog series I have been thinking about.
I thought it might be nice to share some of my budget bending tips for all things. Living on a budget isn’t easy. Neither is blogging on one. But if there’s one thing I have learned, it’s how to live on as lean a budget as possible. Also some time-management, resource management & quick solutions. I know that I am not alone in this, so I thought, this might be a fun series to start here on Lifexperiment Blog.
I am a blogger, I am broke… I am the broke blogger. Hey, why not?
I decided that I would like to add a bit of ‘newness’ to my blog here. As you surely noticed, I have been changing formats like I’m trying for new shoes. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I just can’t seem to find a format that I’m super happy with.
Does this happen to you? Do you become overwhelmed with the options and find something you think is perfect only to discover you can do nothing with it? Ugh.
Oh, if there was a format that you either do or do not like, please let me know.
It is that time of year again. I just wanted to wish all of you a very Happy Holiday! Enjoy being with you beloved ones, forget about the diet for a few days and take the time to just stop and enjoy the moment!
In the spirit of the season, I am opening the comment section on this post for everyone to share your blogs. Give us a short description of your blog and leave the link. If you feel like it, check out some of the other blogs there too!
I really felt the need to thank you, my amazing readers, today. Thank you for taking the valuable time out of your lives to read what I write. Thank you for joining me on this journey and being sooooo supportive throughout! Thank you for fostering such great friendships here and in the comment section too! Thank you for making me know that I’m not alone when I feel like I’m not living up to the ‘best me’. Thank you for making use of my affiliate links sometimes (and helping me out whilst doing so)! Thank you for creating such a good environment here that I often refer to this as my ‘blog family’. Thank you for the Happy Birthday emails, the random ‘Hellos’ and ‘Best Wishes’! Most of all, thank you dear readers, for being you!
So much of what we do in the world goes un-noticed and unrecognized. There is no reason behind this. I’ve just been thinking about how far we’ve come in the past several years and it would not have been at all possible without you. I just really wanted to let you know that I appreciate all that you do and I look forward to having such a great home on the blogosphere for many years to come!
I really enjoy reading Kathy Reichs because, well, Bones. Lets be honest here – the show is fun and reading the books it is based on is intriguing.
I’m not so certain which book # of the series this is. The plot takes one back several thousand years. When you find yourself following around with the around about tale, the killer is a bit of a surprise. It is a bit reminiscent of ‘The DaVinci Code’, but as I found this book at a market stall, I can’t actually say which of them might have been written first.
I enjoy Kathy Reichs way of writing. Its like being inside someones brain who is kind of going through checklists, but sometimes don’t need to complete the thought to get the point. That may seem somewhat neurotic to some, but I like it. It’s different yet still comprehendible.
I am so excited. I mean, really. You know when you have those moments where you wonder if anyone actually reads your blog…or cares? Well, maybe you don’t. But I definitely do. Anyway, I was having one of those moments when I checked my email and Da-dah-da! – email from one of my readers whom I just adore.
This lady has been very active and has participated in many elements/competitions/giveaways. It feels fantastic when people participate!
Imagine my joy when I realized that she heard me when I was talking about ‘minimalism’ – basically cleaning it up, making things easier, and organizing like a crazed person. She took my suggestions to heart and actually put them into practice!
She told me that I could publish this letter that she sent to me. And it is a pleasure to do so!
I was highly impacted from the beginning of your articles on minimalism. I just couldn’t get around to following through with the motions of working on my own closet! I actually have 2 closets that are equally cram packed and when I took this picture there was a full load of my clothes in the washing machine!
Can you imagine the trouble I had getting an outfit together in this mess!
I was so impressed by your putting your outfits in an easy to grab fashion! Also I had things hanging there that I had NOT worn in years but just couldn’t let go of them.
There were things I had been looking for all summer that I found when I cleaned this out. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Below I took a picture of all the empty hangers that were left over once I trudged through the ridiculous amount of clothes I never use!
It was amazing!
This past weekend I packed for a full trip in minutes because everything was in outfits and nothing was lost under the piles of clothes I had I am embarrassed to say just thrown up in my closet
Can you see how much I took out?
This was before I had put it in order.
Every time I look in my closet which is obviously at least once daily; I am thankful for you!
I have my things orderly, in outfits , where I can easily :
Pack for a weekend,
Grab an outfit for whatever weather happens to be coming along, and feel good about what I have picked out.
Pocket books are some accessories are in the boxes; scarves are tucked into the tops.
THANK YOU MLIAE!!
I am so happy about this letter, I have been smilingfordays! I have to thank her (THANK YOU!) for letting me know about all of this, and thank her for reading, participating and just being a super cool person!
I pose this question to my fellow bloggers: Do you ever get the feeling that people aren’t really reading or participating in your posts??
I had this feeling EXACTLY! And then, I heard some fun news: One of my readers enrolled in the contest at Chape and won 3 months of free personal training! Glenda, I know you are reading this – please give us a wave, let people see who you are! CONGRATULATIONS GLENDA!!!
Now, I knew this lady is really fun, just judging by the comments she leaves here. But apparently she’s a hard worker too! Aside from the fact that she has managed to outshine me with a whopping 8% loss in body fat (!) I hear that she has also been quite enthusiastically engaged in the entire process. Good for you, lady! David did an entire write up on Glenda’s progress. I would love for you to read it, but since I can’t seem to manage a reblog, I’m linking to it here.
I again, would like to send a 100 Congratulations to Glenda on winning the contest and for making such amazing progress in such a short amount of time! By the way, the feature photo is Glenda’s ‘before’ photo. I can’t wait to see how she’s rocking that bod at the end of 3 months!
David is running another contest now. I encourage everyone to sign up if you are interested. You don’t have to give anything in return or sign up for anything other than your contact info for the contest. You can find it by following this link.
As for me; Progress is going well, but slow. (My fault entirely). Thursday was International Women’s Day and my husband came home with jam filled, white chocolate and cookie covered, heart shaped donuts. Sooooo….. You can guess what kind of sugar crazed animal I morphed into. That wasn’t great for the diet, for sure. But it was delicious and you all know that donuts are far beyond my limits of self-control. More to update next week (when I’ve been good again) 😉
Please visit the Chape website, if you are interested in a Free 14-day trial! There are currently only 4 places remaining.
